Breakin' On The One, a new documentary which chronicles the legendary battle between The Rock Steady Crew and The Dynamic Rockers is now airing on Hulu and Disney. The battle, which took place on August 15, 1981 at New York's Lincoln Center is largely responsible for helping to catapult B-Boying into the national and later international spotlights.

The film stars cultural ambassador Michael Holman, Mr. Wave of The New York City Breakers, Ken Swift of The Rock Steady Crew, Glyde of Dynamic Rockers, and a host of other B-Girls and Boys affiliated with both crews. In a press release the film’s director, JamsBash said, “we are incredibly stoked to help tell the story of these amazing dancers.

Kids from Black and Brown communities in New York created a unique art form that’s now an Olympic Sport. We love that a small part of that origin is now being celebrated on film. Collaborating with Andscape to bring this documentary to audiences was a no brainer, we can’t wait to share this little bit of the culture with the world".
