Common recently sat with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and shared that he and his current love interest, Jennifer Hudson, may be releasing new music together.
When asked if she would be appearing on Common’s upcoming album, he revealed that they are in the process of putting songs together.
He said further, “We are thinkin’ about something right now that would work, the “I Used To Love Her” MC said. When I do music, I don’t care who you are it has to fit. We got something that I feel is definitely right for her, and we are gonna take it some places."
The Chicago MC was guarded regarding details of his relationship with Hudson, but did share that he felt a kinship with her, and that much of that is due to their shared Chicago origins. “I haven’t dated someone from Chicago since high school,” he said. “We both are private people, [we are from] Chicago, we hold it down. We are both proud to be from Chicago, and when I first saw her I knew that she had something about her that’s soulful. We are building and keepin’ it chill. I don’t wanna talk about it too much.
