Daz Dillinger of Tha Dogg Pound and Capone of Capone-N-Noreaga have released a new collaborative project, Guidelinez. The album, which was two years in the making, dropped on Friday (7/22) and contains an all-star lineup including Conway The Machine, Havoc, M.O.P., Styles P, Curren$y and more.

In 2020, Capone told the Vibin' Heavy podcast that he met Daz a decade before they collaborated on music together, but it wasn't until a later taping of a Drink Champs segment in Las Vegas they realized they had chemistry. "

N.O.R.E. and Kurupt had a relationship but I never had a relationship with Daz. Then when I linked up with Daz in Vegas it was like 'he’s just like me'," the T.O.N.Y. rapper said.

Despite the release of the project, Daz recently announced he's done with rap.

"It's over for me," he wrote on Instagram last month. "...it's not fun no more."

Daz rose to stardom in the 90s during his time with Death Row Records. As a producer with the label, he co-produced tracks for The Chronic with Dr. Dre, and he later produced tracks on Snoop Dogg's debut album Doggystyle, as well as the 1994 soundtracks Above The Rim and Murder Was The Case. Daz also played a big part in the production on 2Pac's All Eyez On Me. The Grammy-nominated rapper and producer has released eight albums as part of Tha Dogg Pound and 19 solo projects.
