DJ Premier is set to drop a new project, Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack, to be released on Mass Appeal. The project, which he announced on social media today (July 11), will feature Run the Jewels and Joey Bad A$$ as well as collaborations between Slick Rick and Lil Wayne and Remy Ma and Rapsody.

“It’s an honor to kick off this iconic Hip-Hop 50 music program,” DJ Premier shared. “Hip-Hop continues to inspire fans across the globe and it’s incredible to think of what the next 50 years will bring.”

Last week, Preemo teased a collaboration with Nas, which it turns out will appear on the project as well. The song, "Beat Dreams," is produced by Preemo, as is the entirety of the five-track release. The two first made a classic connection on Nas' acclaimed debut, Illmatic.

A portion of the proceeds from the project will be dedicated to the Universal Hip-Hop museum. Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack drops on July 15.
