DJ Premier is a busy man these days, promoting his new project, Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack. In a recent interview with Ebro In The Morning, Preemo talked about the project and the music that he has created with Kendrick Lamar.

"Kendrick had come to see me, we had sat together to work on some stuff, but it didn't materialize," said the "In Deep Concentration" producer and DJ. "Just the fact that he even showed up and came in the room. We had a great time just hanging. I made ten joints for him and he took 'em all. Even when I'm like, 'Which one you want me to give?' He's like, 'All of 'em on the order from the way you played 'em.'"

None of the tracks appeared on Kendrick's latest and his last album on TDE, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, and Kendrick doesn't appear on Preemo's latest, Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack either, but who's to say what'll pop up in the future.

Premier's latest effort is a five-song EP released last week in conjunction with Mass Appeal to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. The project features Slick Rick, Remy Ma, Lil Wayne, Rapsody, Nas and Run The Jewels. The project is the first installment in Mass Appeal's The Soundtrack Series, and will include a total of 10 EPs curated by Swizz Beatz, Mustard, The-Dream, Mike Will Made-It, No I.D., Hit-Boy, and others.
