Ice Cube has a multitude of smash hits to consider when attempting to select the song that changed his career. However, he finds the choice to be both easy, and ironic.

When he was recently interviewed, he pointed to 1992's "It Was a Good Day."

"I think a song that changed my career was 'It Was A Good Day,'" he said, later adding, "‘I think for a hardcore rapper who started off doing songs like 'Fuck Tha Police' and 'Bitch Iz A Bitch,' for 'A Good Day' to be my biggest song is just extremely ironic to me. And I love it, it’s cool to show that everybody can have a good day."

When asked if his perception of "a good day" has changed over 30 years, he insists that it has.

"[A good day now is] a peaceful day. Where nothing bad happens to me or my family or friends. That’s a good day."

Ice Cube will be performing in the UK this winter for the first time since 2011.
