On Tuesday (10/25) legendary rapper and actor Ice-T shared a post to his social media announcing that he is one of the longest running male actors in television history.

The "6 In The Mornin'" MC captioned the post with, "Longest running male actor in TV history. Don't tell me what CAN'T be done."

Ice T has played Sergeant Odafin Tutuola on Law & Order SVU since 2001. He has appeared in 456 episodes and only Mariska Hargitay who portrays Captain Olivia Benson has appeared in more episodes with 538. He was supposed to originally appear on the show for only a couple of episodes, but he impressed showrunners so much that he was cast as a regular on the immensely popular series.

Hip-Hop fans will remember Ice T's big screen debut playing himself in the 1984 motion picture Breakin'. He has also appeared In New Jack City, Ricochet, Trespassing, Surviving The Game and many more films. He recently talked about his character on SVU, and how he hopes to be remembered.

"If I go, I want to go in a blaze of glory," he told Mashed. "Blow me up in a car. I want to be murdered!" He said further that if the show wraps and his character is still alive, he'll probably find himself on one of show creator, Dick Wolf's, other series. "In The Wolf universe Law & Order could end, and I could be climbing a ladder in Chicago Fire, I could be over on Organized Crime, so maybe I don't want to die. I'm trying to stay with the show until they decide it's over."
