Issa Rae and Kid Cudi are set to star in the new animated series, Young Love.

Young Love draws its inspiration from the characters of the Oscar-winning short film, Hair Love. The short film delves into the bond between an African-American father and his daughter, Zuri, highlighting the father's challenging endeavor of styling his daughter's hair for the first time. The narrative struck a chord with audiences globally, resonating particularly with fathers who have navigated similar experiences, as Global Grind reports.

Young Love delves deeper into the lives of the family we met in Hair Love, providing a candid glimpse into the lives of the Young family - millennial couple Stephen and Angela, their daughter Zuri, and their pet cat Rocky. The series explores their navigation through career, marriage, parenthood, societal challenges, and intergenerational nuances, all the while aspiring for a brighter future.
