In the second and final installment of Gayle King's interview with Jay-Z for CBS Mornings, the 4:44 MC spoke about the vulnerability involved with being on the world stage, and his history of injecting vulnerability in his music dating back to his debut album.

"My truth is constantly learning and evolving and being ok with that," he explained. "It's hard sometimes learning in front of people, because the mistakes that you are making are being made in front of the world, and being that vulnerable is not an easy thing." When asked if he was afraid to be vulnerable he replied: "I made 4:44, I'm not afraid to be vulnerable."

Jay explained that his first album contained "Regrets" and his sophomore album contained the confessional "You Must Love Me." On "You Must Love Me,"Jay shares the stories of selling crack to his mother, shooting his brother, and sending his girlfriend out of town with drugs strapped to her body.

"These are very vulnerable songs, but I couldn't string them together," he revealed. "On 'Song Cry' I had to use a hypothetical situation of three different stories and three different people in one. [The Songs] just have to feel honest and truthful and still be jammin'."
