Jean Grae Set To Drop A Book Of Personal Essays In 2025

Legendary underground MC Jean Grae is releasing what is described as "a collection of darkly humorous , intensely personal essays." In My Remaining Years chronicles everything from aging gracefully, avoiding "becoming our parents", and befriending childhood demons.

The South African born MC, born Tsidi Ibrahim is known to Hip-Hop as Jean Grae (formerly What? What?). She rose to prominence in New York's underground Hip-Hop scene as part Natural Resource, before her name change and solo career. Jean has worked with The Roots, Talib Kweli, Masta Ace, Styles P, and Pharoahe Monch.

In My Remaining Years is scheduled for a March 11 release, and can be pre ordered here.
