Hit-Boy, Surf or Drown

Hit-Boy has released his album Surf or Drown, a 21-track project that finds him both rapping in producing. The album includes appearances from Nas ("The Tide"), The Alchemist ("Slipping Into Darkness"), Dom Kennedy, Curren$y and more, and also features instrumental versions of the songs (which is why it's 21 tracks and not 11). Rory featuring Jay Electronica and reggie, "Enough"

Podcaster Rory Farrell of Rory & Mal (and formerly of the Joe Budden podcast) dropped his second single "Enough" featuring Jay Electronica and reggie last week. reggie sings of heartbreak, failed relationships and betrayal while Jay Electronica spits a dope verse conveying that he's down, but not out. Talib Kweli x Madlib, "Air Quotes"

Fresh off the release of their new collaborative album, Liberation 2Talib Kweli and Madlib have shared their new video for "Air Quotes." Featuring Diani and directed by Chino Chase, the video features prominent shots in front of the new mural of Trugoy the Dove created by acclaimed artist Tristan Easton, located in Austin, TX. Freddie Gibbs, "Zipper Bags"

Freddie Gibbs is back with a new video "Zipper Bags." The video, directed by Ben “Lambo” Lambert, Harley Astorga, and Freddie Gibbs, is another cinematic effort from the rapper, and the song, produced by KAYTRANADA, is from Freddie’s most recent effort, $oul $old $eparately. Watch the video here.

Meyhem Lauren x DJ Muggs x Madlib featuring Action Bronson, “Szechuan Capital”

Meyhem Lauren, DJ Muggs, and Madlib are back with a new single, “Szechuan Capital." The track is the third release from their upcoming collaborative album, Champagne For Breakfast, which will be produced entirely by Muggs and Madlib. “Szechuan Capital” is the name of a restaurant in Flushing Queens that closed down around 20 years ago,” Meyhem explained in a statement. “It was a special spot in Flushing and Action is a special human from Flushing so it all made sense; at least to me.” The album is due out April 7. Kool Keith x Real Bad Man, Serpent

Kool Keith and Real Bad Man teamed up for a collaborative project, Serpent which dropped today. The project is produced entirely by Real Bad Man and features appearances from Slug of Atmosphere, Ice-T, Edan, Cool Calm Pete and Zeelooperz. Watch the animated video for “Fire & Ice” Feat Ice-T & Slug of Atmosphere here. Lil Eazy-E x Daz, The Legacy

FLO x Missy Elliot, "Fly Girl"

British girl group FLO has teamed up with Missy Elliott for a new upbeat, feel-good track, "Fly Girl." “Fly Girl” finds FLO declaring: “If you a fly girl, get your nails done/Get a pedicure, get your hair did/See, you’re telling me I’m pretty but it’s obvious/I don’t need no man to tell me where the party is.” The official video is directed by former dancer for Beyoncé, Tajana Tokyo (Ari Lennox, Channel Tres).
