On Saturday (May 14), Remy Ma was honored as part of the Bronx Walk of Fame with her own street sign. With Fat Joe, her husband Papoose, and Bronx borough president Vanessa L. Gibson on-hand, the BX icon joined some of her home borough's most revered stars. On Instagram, Remy basked in her moment.

“Today I was given my own street sign in The Bronx!” Remy wrote on Instagram. “I’ve come so far from the girl that used to take the 6 train and ride the Bx22 bus. I’ve had to go to court across the street from where that sign is, I’ve lived in a shelter down the block from where that sign is, I’ve went to high school a few lights up from where that sign is.

“I debuted one of the biggest songs of my career is the stadium behind where that sign is… I appreciate & am so thankful for where I am, I wouldn’t change a thing about where I’ve come from, and I’m excited to see where I’m going. Thank you Bronx Borough President, @msvanessa77 and Deputy Borough President @jpegnyc for this honor.”

Deputy president Janet Peguero also attended the reveal, which put Remy alongside luminaries such as KRS-One, Fat Joe, Rita Moreno, Colin Powell, Kool DJ Red Alert,Luther Vandross, Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Swizz Beatz and Kid Capri along the 23-block corridor.

Remy Ma Makes Her Debut on ABC's 'Queens'

Jan 07, 2022

Remy has been busy thus far in 2022. She landed a guest spot on ABC's now-defunct drama Queens back in January. And in February, Remy launched Chrome 23, the first all women’s battle rap league. Its premiere event, Queens Get The Money was live-streamed in collaboration with Hot 97, on their official website and YouTube channel with a stacked battle card. The event featured Yoshi G versus Pristavia; Casey Jay versus Official; 40 B.A.R.R.S. versus QB Black Diamond; and Ms. Hustle versus Couture.

The Bronx street naming was just a day after Remy and Papoose celebrated 14 years of marriage.

“Today we celebrate 14 years of marriage,” Pap wrote on IG. “Through all the up’s & downs, we stuck together. Most people don’t pass the test of time. So when that happens, it speaks volumes. @remyma You are an amazing partner. Looking forward to our future! You can’t tell a woman you love her. Are you stupid? Words don’t express ya love you gotta prove it.”
