Roc Nation has merged its Roc Nation record label with its Equity Distribution to form ROC Nation Distribution. Equity distribution, which was launched in 2019 gives artists an outlet to distribute their music, while retaining ownership of their master recordings. The platform also provides marketing, publishing admin services and data analytics to artists.

Under the restructuring Roc Nation artists will now be represented by Roc Nation Distribution. Those artists include Alicia Keys, Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Lil Uzi Vert, Yo Gotti, Megan Thee Stallion, Robin Thicke, and others.

"The formation of ROC Nation distribution is a natural transition in the music space," Roc Nation said in a statement. "The mission is to support and empower independent artists while providing them the tools and services to distribute their music."

The label said further, "Roc Nation was founded with an independent spirit and an artist-first mentality. The formation of ROC Nation distribution is a natural transition in the music space. The mission is to support and empower independent artists while providing them the tools and services to distribute their music. All artists signed to Roc Nation Label will join and benefit from the new ROC Nation distribution structure."
