Tek & Steele of The Cocoa Brovas, formerly Smif-N-Wessun, are guests on an upcoming episode of Revolt's Drink Champs where they discuss Buck Shot's writing process, their residual situation and the lawsuit that resulted in their name change.

Not long after releasing their 1995 debut album Dah Shinin', Smif-N-Wessun received a cease and desist order from gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson leading to the Cocoa Brovas name change. "They sent us a cease and desist that was like a book," Tek told Drink Champs co-host N.O.R.E. "It was itemized with everything they make from beer cans to the honker to liquor and how we were confusing the consumer selling music compared to guns."

In other Smif-N-Wessun news, the duo recently released new music with their collective Boot Camp Clik. Boot Camp Clik is celebrating their 30th anniversary, as well as the release of their first single and video in 16 years, "Wotcha Call Strength," which was released in partnership with Rock The Bells earlier this year.
