Houston Rapper and philanthropist Trae Tha Truth is back home after volunteering his time and efforts over the weekend in Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

"I think combined with all of us we've done over 300 rescues," the rapper told RTB. "We rescued from newborns to disabled and everything. It's been a hectic weekend." Trae and his Relief Gang slept in their cars and worked around the clock for five days in Florida. "It was different to see big yachts turned upside down like they are toy boats. It will be a long time before they get back to normal."

Trae started his Relief Gang in Houston during Hurricane Harvey's aftermath and they also assisted Houston residents during COVID and the winter storm. Trae spoke of the need to pay it forward.

"This hurricane season, what do we expect people to do when it comes our way? We will expect and need the help. So with me being a representative of Houston, if I can go down and extend a hand and make an impact, we may need that helping hand at another time," he said.

Trae is teaming up with Operation Barbecue and heading back to Florida in the coming days to help feed those affected by the storm.
