De La Soul announced today (1/13) that "The Magic Number" from their groundbreaking debut album 3 Feet High And Rising is available on all streaming platforms.

The announcement arrives a week after the group shared that their entire back catalog will be released digitally for the first time ever on March 3. Along with the digital release of "The Magic Number" today, a cassette single, 7 inch vinyl record (which has sold out in the US, but is available internationally) and digital download are available at their website wearedelasoul.com. An official lyric video was also released today on the group's YouTube page, WeAreDeLaSoul.

In 2021, "The Magic Number" appeared in the ending credits of Marvel's blockbuster film Spiderman:N o Way Home. The song's placement in the film represented the three versions of Spiderman that appear in the film. The School House Rock-inspired song's inclusion in the movie represented the first time that younger generations ever heard De la Soul and many voiced displeasure via social media at not being able to stream the music.
