C-Knight of Dove Shack has passed away, TMZ reports. He was 52.

Born Arnez Blount, the west coast rap artist had previously been on life support after suffering a stroke. He was first admitted to the hospital in mid-October for complications from diabetes.

C-Knight was part of the west coast group, The Dove Shack, alongside Bo Roc and 2Scoops. The group, who first made their appearance on Warren G's 1994 album, Regulate… G Funk Era, released several hits including their most successful single, 1995's "Summertime in the LBC." That song was featured on their debut album, This Is the Shack, as well as the soundtrack to The Show, and hit no. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of November 4, 1995. They also released the singles "This Is The Shack" and "Smoke Out." Dove Shack's sophomore album didn't arrive until 2006, Reality Has Got Me Tied Up. However, in between the releases, C-Knight released a solo project, Knight Time, which arrived in 2001.

“This is like [a] fucking nightmare I swear this shit hurt different and I don’t want to talk about shit to nobody so please just let me be and pray for us…" Bo Rock wrote of his friend's passing in an Instagram post. "On my soul I love you bro and I already don’t know what the fuck to do wit u being gone."
