To honor 50 years of Hip-Hop, Audible is tapping Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg and Yasiin Bey to host their own series beginning this summer.

The storytelling platform will also sponsor shows by Chuck D and DJ Drama. The series debuts on June 15 with Snoops's Words + Music where he discusses his journey from Long Beach to becoming one of the most recognizable pop culture figures in the world and his choice to choose positivity and life instead of negativity and death.

Lil' Kim's Words + Music follows and will focus on her rise to become one of Hip-Hop's most celebrated female MCs. Yasiin Bey's A Dynamic Career in Communications will examine the spiritual journey and creative inspirations of the Black Star MC.

"Hip-Hop has made an indelible mark on music and culture since its inception-running the gamut from the emergence of DJs to innovation and creative artistry in sampling, dance styles, fashion, audio technology, and so much more,” Audible EVP and Head of U.S. Content, Rachel Ghiazza said in a recent statement. "Audible is proud to celebrate such incredible cultural influence with this line-up of new originals that both elevate and commemorate the 50-year history of this iconic genre.”

Last year, Public Enemy founder and front man Chuck D explored the most politically and socially influential songs on Songs That Shook The Planet as part of Audible’s 'Words + Music' Initiative.
